Unconvincing "Evidence": Analysts doubt that the commander of the Black Fleet Sokolov is alive

The Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not comment directly that the Admiral had not died due to a rocket strike on Sevastopol. ISW analysts are also not ready to confirm the authenticity of the video with "Living" Viktor Sokolov. "The Russian media continue to publish unconvincing" evidence "that the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Solokov, is alive," the report reads. According to analysts, the Kremlin's press service and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not comment on it and did not directly confirm that Viktor Sokolov did not die.

The authors of the report also noted that they were not ready to confirm the authenticity of the video with Sokolov, recently published by Russian media. Soon, on September 26, the Russian propaganda edition of TASS reported that Viktor Sokolov allegedly appeared to expel the College of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The media also posted the appropriate video. Later, on September 27, the Russian propaganda TV channel "Zvezda" showed a video on which commander Viktor Sokolov said that the fleet "successfully performs the task".
