10 UAV for one destruction: why not everything is fine with blows of drones on Russian tanks - media

Analysts believe that Russia has some problems with armored vehicles. This is evidenced by the efforts to protect the tanks with a variety of remedies. The fighters of the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully use drones to destroy Russian armored vehicles. At the same time, most strokes are drawn by drones, not the other means created for this purpose. A similar situation shows that with some types of weapons in the Armed Forces is not all right.

The analysis of some aspects of the Russian-Ukrainian war was published on the Foreign Policy portal. The article refers to explanations received from an unnamed NATO representative. He reported that Ukrainians two -thirds (about 66%) of the Russian Federation were destroyed by drones. In addition, he noted that not expensive American devices, such as Predator for $ 20 million, but cheap, with a low -quality camera and a price of $ 400.

Therefore, a certain number of successful blows account for the same number of failure, said the interlocutor of journalists. The possibilities of drones are weaker than, for example, artillery or mortars, - they told on the portal. First, they act too close-up to 10 km away. Secondly, one hit is not enough to really destroy the Russian tank. "Usually, the tank is not killed for the first few times.

It may take 10 or more [FPV drones] to kill the tank," the words of the Senior Eurasia Researcher at the Eurasian Institute of Foreign Policy, Rob Lee, quoted. On the other hand, there are positive points for Ukraine in the situation observed on the front line. In particular, the Russians try to protect the tanks that are thrown into battle by all ways. For example, they attach a variety of radio electronic fighting to neutralize the Drones of the Armed Forces.

According to analysts, this means that the Russian Federation actually has problems with military equipment - that is, its capabilities are still limited. "If Ukraine continues to exhaust at such a pace, and Russia continues to send more tanks to replace the destroyed pace, as before, the Kremlin may lose a numerical advantage in tanks, which can complicate the Russians of offensive operations in the future," - summed up on Foreign Policy.

It should be noted that one of the latest tank attacks of the Russian Federation took place on March 30 in the Avdeevsky direction. The Armed Forces fighters posted a series of videos showing a column of Russian armored vehicles that hung into Ukrainian positions. They could not go too far: the tanks were stopped with drones and other means of damage. In addition, the focus talked about other successful work.
