The agreement was announced on March 6 by the press service of the British Defense Office. The purchase is made through the British Defense Equipment & Support Service within the International Foundation for Ukraine (IFU). The cost of the contract is £ 30 million. Supplies will include drones, starting installations and spare parts.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces will support more advanced percussion drones to combat the Russian aggression in the Black Sea in accordance with an agreement concluded by the UK government and Anglo-American defense technological company," the press release reads. As noted in the Militarian, Ukraine has already used Altius 600m since 2023. The drones were then supplied as part of the US military assistance.

However, the new agreement will significantly increase their number and supplement them with drones of another modification. Altius 600m is a modular drone that can carry a health load up to 3 kg. Depending on the configuration, it can be used as a shock drone, a reconnaissance apparatus, or a HN. In a folded state, it is in the transport and power container, from where it is ejected with the help of pneumatic catapult.

After leaving the container, its wings are automatically opened, and a two -bladed air screw in the tail part is switched on. This UAV can be launched from the ground, from the air and even from ships. Management is carried out by an operator from the ground station or offline on a pre -programmed route. Altius 700m is a complete shock drone with a more powerful combat part.

It is made according to the same basic scheme and concept as the 600th model, only the weight of its combat load is 15 kilograms. The flight range in Altius 700m is smaller than the younger model - 160 km, and the time of the bar is 75 minutes. However, this is enough to defeat enemy equipment, fortifications and even surface purposes. The use of Altius drones has already proven effective.
