Ukraine is preparing for full -scale production CZ Bren 2: A weapon review (photo)

It is planned that the Ukrainian plant will be able to produce tens of thousands of units of Bren 2 annually. Weapons will be produced under the Sich brand. The technology project project has become one of the key initiatives at the First International Defense Industrial (DFNC1) Forum held in Kiev. In September 2023, the Czech Ministry of Defense called this project "flagship" of defense cooperation between Kiev and Prague.

The Licensing Agreement was signed in February 2024, and in November the license was composed. As of March 2025, the issue reached 400 machines per day. CZ Bren 2 is a new generation weapon that belongs to the Next Generation Service Rifle (NGSR) category. The automatic machine is designed taking into account the experience of operating the previous model CZ 805 Bren and the wishes of the Czech military.

The main differences are reduced mass, improved ergonomics, modularity and the possibility of rapid replacement of barrels and caliber. Bren 2 is equipped with a gas -shaped gas automatic automation and a rotary shutter. The barrel box is made of aluminum alloy, and the shock mechanism is made of shock-resistant plastic. Weapons support three fire modes: automatic, with two shots and single shots. Stanag standards are used for 5. 56 × 45 mm and special 30-charges for 7. 62 × 39 mm.

The system makes it possible to use trunks in length: additionally possible equipping with a 40mm cz 805 g1 grenade launcher and a bayonet. In service, Bren 2 stands in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, France, Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico and other countries. In Ukraine, the automatic machine is actively used in the special units of the GUR, in particular, the fighters of the Kraken unit and the international legion.
