Russian manufacturers of Kabiv and X-69 reported about "breakthroughs" of the MIC: Estimation of experts

According to the CEO of CTA Boris Obnosov, the number of corporation staff increased to 90 thousand people, and the total portfolio of export orders reached $ 7 billion. The CEO "Corporation Tactical Missile Weapons" (CTR) Boris Obnov announced a large-scale expansion of production in 2023-2024. According to him, the number of employees of enterprises that produce cabins and missiles X-69 increased from 66 to 90 thousand people. And the volume of production has doubled, reaching trillion rubles.

However, despite the "positive dynamics", the corporation's activities are not so smooth, they write in Defense Express. The growth of the military industry is accompanied by statements about technological progress: in CTOs they say that they were able to reduce the production cycle by 25-30%, reduce the cost of individual weapons by 30-50% and achieve sustainable exports of products.

In 2024, the corporation allegedly sold weapons for $ 370 million, and the total portfolio of export orders reached $ 7 billion. However, in the words of the Obnos, there are also clear problems, analysts say. He acknowledges that the Russian MIC is a shortage of modern production equipment, and attempts to resolve this issue at the expense of the "state" corporation give only a partial effect.

In addition, the CTR recognizes the need to increase the stability of managed ammunition to the means of radio electronic struggle, which casts doubt on the idea of "simplification" of production. It is interesting that along with the militarization of the economy in the CTA they declare active participation in the production of civilian products: from medical equipment to charging stations for electric trucks and dentures.

It is obvious that the Kremlin seeks to smooth the imbalance in the economy caused by the growth of MIC, at the same time to resolve the issue of employment and support of the consumer sector. In this situation, the report on the "breakthroughs" of the Russian MIC looks more as an attempt to maintain the image of stability, despite the obvious structural problems.
