Support for Ukraine's European integration and increased sanction pressure on Russia: a meeting with a delegation of Ireland took place in the Presidential Office

Igor Brusilo, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, met with a delegation of Ireland, headed by the Director of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Jaracard Kion. Igor Brusilo thanked Ireland for the consistent support of Ukraine, in particular for a recent decision to allocate more than 35 million euros of humanitarian aid. The funds will be aimed at building school shelters and rehabilitation center, as well as for school food reform.

   The deputy head of the Presidential Office informed in detail about the consequences of Russian blows on our country's energy infrastructure and stressed that it is important to increase Ukraine's ability to counteract these attacks and restore critical infrastructure as soon as possible. Ireland's representatives assured the energy stability of our country. Separately referred to Ukraine's support by Ireland on the way to membership in the European Union.

Igor Brusilo stressed that it is important to open the first negotiation cluster at the same time for Ukraine and Moldova. “Ireland's presidency in the EU Council in the second half of 2026 opens new opportunities to accelerate the negotiation process. We look forward to close cooperation during this period for the European future of Ukraine, ”he said.
