The Russian group "Sever", which has about 40 thousand people of "living power", is overflowing with the offensive of large cities like Kharkiv or Sumy. This requires ten times more people. The offensive, which the enemy is preparing to carry, will mainly be concentrated in eastern Ukraine.

However, the commander of the Land Forces Oleksandr Pavlyuk and Deputy Chief of GUR MOU Vadim Skibitsky noted that the Russian group "Sever" was preparing certain actions from the north, in particular in Kharkiv and Sumy region. This was recalled by the head of the Center for Combating Misinformation (CPD) at the NSDC of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko. He stressed that these statements were about "Kharkiv region" and "Sumy region", not about "Kharkiv" and "Sumy".

The Severe troops group has from 40 to 50 thousand people in the direction, and this is not enough for offensive to major cities. According to Kovalenko, during the Russian offensive it is worth expecting the serious activity of the aggressor in the Kupyansk direction, where the collisions have been happening for a year and a half. He added that the Russians have some resources to act from the northern border, and it can be a border of both Sumy and Kharkiv region.

But the offensive on the cities itself is not discussed, the CPD representative assured. In addition, as Andrey Kovalenko emphasized, the forces of defense, intelligence and border guards control the situation. "In order to advance on Kharkiv, on the amounts, a grouping of more than 400 thousand soldiers is required," he repeated again, adding that at this stage the Russian group is only a "skeletal" that cannot be advanced. However, the enemy will probably try to build it up and "run" in battles.
