"President Trump imagined this partnership between the American people and the Ukrainian people to demonstrate the devotion of both sides of long peace and prosperity in Ukraine," Bessent emphasized. It is noted that no person or state who at one time financed the "Russian military machine" will be able to benefit from the reconstruction of Ukraine. Also, Bessent once again emphasized that the United States seeks to end the "meaningless war".
The first Viceremier-Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko called the key points of the signed agreement on May 1. According to her, the investment fund created with the United States will attract global investments in Ukraine. The Agreement provides for the abandonment of full ownership and control of Ukraine, equal partnership, protection of national property, lack of debts of Ukraine to the United States, compliance with the Constitution and course for European integration.
