The MEPs called on EU countries to limit relations with the Kremlin to a minimum...

The European Parliament has approved a resolution in which Putin found illegitimate

The MEPs called on EU countries to limit relations with the Kremlin to a minimum, reducing them to issues concerning regional peace, as well as humanitarian and human rights initiatives. On Thursday, April 25, the European Parliament approved a resolution that states that the results of the presidential election in Russia should not be recognized as legitimate EU Member States and the international community.

This was reported by the People's Deputy from the European Solidarity faction Alexei Goncharenko in his Telegram. According to the text of the resolution, published on Wednesday, April 24, it was about the imposition of sanctions against those who organized the "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The EU countries also called on EU countries to limit all the ties with the Russian authorities.

The text of the resolution emphasizes that the elections, which were held in the illegally occupied territories of Ukraine and even in Russia itself, did not meet the international standards of free and honest elections, and, consequently, deprived of democratic legitimacy. The European Parliament also called for restriction with Russian President Vladimir Putin to a minimum, reducing them to issues concerning regional peace, as well as humanitarian and human rights initiatives.

The resolution also condemns the illegal holding of "presidential elections" in the occupied Ukrainian territories, which were deprived of political competition, conducted with restrictions, violence and mass falsification. The European Parliament also emphasizes the violations during voting, including the intimidation of voters and the detention of independent observers.

According to the MEPUPATATES, Russia organized illegal voting in the occupied Ukrainian territories, as well as in other countries, such as Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria, ignoring the will of the respective states.
