Thousands of drones for the Armed Forces were detained in Lithuania: why there were problems - media

FPV-drones produced in Lithuania are able to carry 2-3 kg of explosives up to 20 km, and they would be useful for the Armed Forces on the front line. The drones are delayed due to a complicated bureaucratic procedure. Lithuanian producers of drones, in accordance with the concluded contracts, released parties of drones, which were to come to Ukraine for the Armed Forces. In this case, the devices are stored in warehouses, not go to the front.

In addition, Ukrainians are not taught to work with Lithuanian UAVs. The situation with delayed drones from Lithuania was told on the LTR portal. The portal reported that the drones made in Lithuania had to find themselves on the battlefield in Ukraine until the end of 2024. Instead, they "drink in warehouses", while Ukrainian fighters need. Reductors have explained that they have fulfilled their obligations and shipped a batch of devices according to arrangements.

At the same time, the Lithuanian government explained that the reasons for the delay are a difficult way from the manufacturer to the battlefield. Journalists made a comment on the head of the company "RSI Europe" Thomas Milashauskas. According to him, the company shipped devices twice - in October and November 2024. However, he does not have data to get into Ukraine. The topleman also noted that the company's representatives were not invited to teach Ukrainians to use UAV.

The article states that a similar situation is available in other manufacturers, but the names are not given in the article. "Some other companies have also confirmed - they have no information that drones are transported to Ukraine. And there is no information because drones are still in Lithuania," they wrote on the portal. Meanwhile, Ltr gave an explanation of the topine from Lithuania.

For example, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Gedrimas Eglinskas, stated that Lithuanian drones should go to Ukraine as soon as possible, and "History should be a signal for viewing the entire system. " The national defense excellent Laurinas Kashchuasn, in turn, described the UAV procedure, which consists of six points.

Among them - first they go to warehouses, then the Defense Resources Agency passes UAVs of the army, then the government approves supply once again, then a trip to Ukraine. There is also a comment on Lithuania. The department noted that the government has updated a chain of UAV procedures. The new procedure has been approved "this week" and from now on. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has not yet commented on the situation that arose with the supply of drones from Lithuania.

The media reminded that in Lithuania, five companies conducted a test of drones for war in Ukraine. The article illustrations show Granta Autonomy devices. The company's website tells a contract of 1 million euros for the supply of GA-10FPV-AI quadcopters (capable of carrying 3 kg of explosives). The Armed Forces had to send 5 thousand drones: the first party - by the end of September, the rest - by the end of the year. Another company mentioned in the article is RSI Europe.
