According to Katkov, it is now possible to speak confidently about the three areas of the first hybrid Frankensam air defense complexes, which are already known. The first project is the integration of AIM-9. This is a missile with infrared head of self -introduction. Ukraine will actually receive an analogue of the MIM-72 Chaparral complex, which has a range up to 5 km, up to 4 km high. It is a replacement of the Arrow-10 SC, which uses Soviet missiles.

"The AIM-9 rocket is an extremely popular rocket, it's a bestseller. It is relatively cheap, and its production continues," Katkov explained. Frankensam allows you to keep the Soviet systems in the system through new ammunition. The second project is the BUK SHR with RIM-7 AIM-7 ROCCACY with a range of more than 20 km. The question arose where to take Soviet missiles to the beech, because they are only produced by the Russian Federation.

At the same time, RIM-7 AIM-7 is not a shortage, it's not a new rocket. "There are quite significant reserves that allow you to keep the main Medium -range SPR in order," Katkov emphasized. The expert also added that there is a huge space for further strengthening of air defense. And the third project is Patriot with the Ukrainian radar. "And this is a fantasy," the expert added. According to him, Patriot complexes are very small in the world.

"Therefore, according to the scenario that partners are transferring launchers and rockets, and Ukraine, together with the United States, integrates them into its own radar station, withdraws the question of how to transfer Patrioot to Ukraine," Katkov added. Recall that the hybrid means of air defense, which have developed within the framework of the Frankensamier project jointly from the United States, said the Minister for Strategic Industry Alexander Kamyshin.

According to him, hybrid air defense systems are a quick solution, and five such projects have already been developed. If the development of a complex of air defense takes about 3-4 years, then "hybrid" solutions we get already. Meanwhile, other Defense Express experts say that only the latest US $ 250 million assistance package contains ammunition to Himars and NASAMS systems, as well as artillery shells.
