Russia and Iran will jointly develop artificial intelligence: a new potential danger

The common memorandum is allegedly about the ethical side of artificial intelligence. But it is well known about the cooperation of both countries in the military industry and technologies. Russia and Iran have signed a memorandum on artificial intelligence cooperation. This was reported by the information agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRNA). According to the agency, the memorandum, in particular, refers to the study of ethical issues in the field of AI.

From Russia, the signature under the document was stated by Andriy Nezamov, Chairman of the Commission on the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in the field of the AI. The Iranian side of Buda is represented by Behruz Minai, a representative of the staff of the Iran Islamic Republic on the development of technologies of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The publication calls the signing of such a memorandum an important step because "ethics is an extremely important topic for both countries. " It is noted that the memorandum will enhance technological and cultural dialogue between countries. Russia, for its part, emphasized that it appreciates the confidence of Iranian partners in this field. It is not a secret that Iran and Russia are working hard in many technical industries, in particular, with regard to military equipment.

In February 2024, hackers broke the Iranian company and confirmed that Iran provided Russia with Shahhed drone production technology and sold large quantities. According to calculations, the cost of production of one ShahED-136 in Russia, under the conditions of minimum supply from Iran, is 4. 4 million rubles, or $ 48. 8 thousand. The materials obtained by hackers contained, in particular, a detailed instruction on the manufacture of the Shakhaed building.

Many pages in Russian describe the production of composite components of an unmanned aircraft, assembly, painting and several -stage testing. The technology has proven to be quite complicated, the production of fuselage parts made of composite material takes a long time. Iran and Russia are cooperating in the space industry. At the end of February in the Amur region of the Russian Federation from the cosport "East" rocket "Soyuz-2. 1b" launched the Iranian "research" satellite Pars-1.
