War is a lesson, it must be taken to keep it benefit, expert Olena Panich writes...

To mobilize, unite and play for a long time. Three conditions of victory in war with Russia

War is a lesson, it must be taken to keep it benefit, expert Olena Panich writes. In her opinion, a lot will depend on what lessons we will all take from this war and whether we will make Ukraine better. I often think whether we will teach us something this war. All of us as a people as a nation.

Will she teach, for example, the understanding that corruption is killing? Will we become better understanding our responsibility to each other and the country as a whole, and even the world? Will it give us all this a little more understanding that collective safety is a strategic task, and not one person but all citizens? I still want to believe that the war will help us to overcome paternalism, populism, vanity and even ordinary greed.

That we will just become smarter, more capable of far -sighted strategic collective decisions for the sake of building a common. Just do not survive in our conditions without this. Probably all of my wishes will not have a too optimistic answer. Humanity knew many wars, and this did not change in principle the nature of man and human communities. But what is the case to human communities.

We need to survive - it is us today, to preserve our country, to defend its territorial integrity, to conquer the peace we need. It seems that now we are entering at the stage when the faith of those who were convinced at the beginning of the war that we were lucky with the President will be a great trial. Of course, I am talking about rational people who seemed that Zelensky made the impossible - convinced the whole world of the need to support Ukraine.

All these months we expected weapons, rejoiced in her, thanked her for her, and finally took her for granted. Thanks to weapons from other countries, we were able to stabilize the front. As always, there is a plus, but there is minus. The negative side of this success is the habit of thinking that you can ask everything that you can always threatening, crying, threatening - and will give you everything. In such a situation, you can not worry about the future, just wait when it comes.

Prolonged help from the outside allows you to relax, many - generally forget about the war, again argue about some minor things, without thinking about how the situation in the future can change. The belief that you will not be allowed to die, allows you to buy from mobilization, to take bribes, to sell a humanitarian, to make a business again, and everything, as always. Well, because you know that "this country will not die.

" But will he really not die? Here again we have to return to the same question: the ability of the small community to resist the big so that it is finally defeated. This is not a question of Palestine and Israel. It's all about Ukraine. And about Russia. Russia will not disappear. It does not disappear. The threat of its further promotion deep into Ukraine after the "freezing of the conflict", which will now be brought, does not disappear.

The ability to counteract Russia, to defeat it in this war is still largely dependent on us. From our willingness to mobilize, rally and play for a long time. I do not know how Zelensky is generally able to build a new strategy in conditions where its previous, until recently successful, the strategy of asking weapons is gradually delaying itself. One way or another, he should do it, and how quickly and reasonably he will rebuild will depend on the lives of millions of Ukrainians.

In essence, how it succeeds, it will show our general ability as a nation, as a nation, to defend their subjectivity. This president is the embodiment of all of us as a collective whole. Excuse me, if someone offends it, but yes, it embodies the maximum of Ukraine's capacity in the political dimension today. Everything that could be better, so far in the margins of our society and politicum.

In general, it is some kind of cruel irony that the person who promised to "negotiate with Russia" and quickly "end the war" is forced to fight for years in the conditions of an even more violent and bloody war. Who sincerely believed that in a few years he has fallen corruption, forced to observe how, thanks to his management, corruption grows to the scale of the national threat. The one who loves the applause above all is faced with frank contempt and ridicule, which will probably only grow.

I think most of his holy beliefs with whom he went to the 2019 election was cruelly broken. But were all his beliefs? Didn't most of us believe in the same thing? Yes, war is a lesson. But it must be taken in order for him to be beneficial. Much will depend on what lessons we will all take from this war.

This war has denied many stereotypes of a civilized world, for example, that "Ukraine is Russia", about "the second army of the world", about "Russia as a victim", about the power of sanctions and so on. But the worst part is that people still keep their stereotypes. They do not want to say goodbye to them, and probably, until Russia is attacked, they can afford it. But we cannot. We need to overcome our stereotypes. Especially in relation to the state, to their duties, to justice.

Non -standard situations require non -standard solutions. It is especially obvious to me that non -standard decisions should be made in the fight against corruption. Those discussions that have been observed around this issue show that corruption is destructive for the country by itself, but hipping on corruption reports can do no less harm. It looks especially cynical when the media reports about "corruption" that are not actually corruption.

In some cases, they know it themselves, but they still write, consciously twisting a degree of hatred and distrust in society. In my opinion, it is a crime, especially during the war, when trust and cohesion are our main resource for victory. This is the same case when the media put their corporate interests above the interests of the whole society. In order to overcome corruption, there is no need to engage about it to attract readers' attention.

There is no need to silence it, but there is no need to report on it to Yermak or President in person. There should be other ways and mechanisms. All this and many more things require reasonable solutions that will not look like teenage selfish puffs, but will have a sense of responsibility. This must be learned to win this war.
