New Raytheon drones for US Air Force will be released with Air -Air Air Class rockets

CCA drones plan to gradually improve. The drones will carry a variety of amounts for missions - from intelligence and observation to combat. The US Air Force cooperated with the largest defense contractor Raytheon added AIM-120 Amraam missile to Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), which produce the first series. Army recognition writes about it.

The drones have developed as part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD), it is assumed that these systems will fly along with manned fifth and sixth generations. Raytheon confirmed their participation in the project. John Norman's Vice president discussed the integration of the missile at a meeting with journalists after the first messages that appeared in Air and Space Forces Magazine in July.

"We are cooperating with the Air Force under their CCA for integration Amraam with Increment drones 1. CCA Increment 2 is still early in development," Norman explained. CCA drones plan to develop in stages, which will gradually improve their design and opportunities. It is planned that drones will carry a variety of amounts for missions - from intelligence and observation to combat. According to Norman, Amraam is seen as a "reference weapon" for drones.

"Amraam enables manned planes such as F-35 Lightning II or F-22 Raptor, expand their combat capabilities. These UAVs can be used as a reinforcement," he explained. In April, General Atomics and Anduril received contracts for the development of detailed prototypes and conducting flight tests of the first series of CCA drones. After completing the company's development with other suppliers, they will be able to compete for the final production contract, which is expected to be concluded in 2026.
