It is likely that rockets have accumulated more than one month for this shelling. Nevertheless, most of the missiles were intercepted by Ukrainian air defense. The Western politician also stated that this missile strike was probably not coordinated with Shahd drones. On the night of December 8, Russia hit Ukraine with 20 winged missiles with X-101/X-555, 14 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. The enemy also launched seven drones Shahd-136, five of which managed to knock down.

According to the spokesman of the Air Force Yuri Ignat, the Russian Federation has been able to restore her missile markets in recent months. The enemy again resorted to the shelling of Ukraine, which he carried out last year. The Kyiv City Military Administration stated that Russia has released rockets of about 10 Tu-95MC bombers from Engels of Saratov region. The missiles flying to Kiev were knocked down to the city.

Meanwhile, experts explain that the released missiles were the imitation warheads X-55. So Russia is likely to try to explore the deployment of Ukrainian air defense.
