The country of the Armed Forces fans. Why is it dangerous to relax for the second year of the war

We stood last year because it was a sacred war for Ukraine - our jihad. But in the second year, volunteer and blogger Gennady Druzenko states with sadness, there was no trace from his former lift . . . Do you know why we succeeded last year? Was not only to stand, but also to return some of the occupied territories? Because for them it was its, which somewhere there, far away, and for us it was a sacred war. A war for survival. Our Ukrainian jihad.

When "Ukraine or death" was not just a beautiful slogan, but daily reality. A year ago it was a truly people's war against the army of professional looters . . . The war of Ukrainians who knew for what they die and kill, against those who did not understand why he was struck on Ukrainian land. And so we - contrary to the forecasts of all intelligence and special services - stood. But since then, this war has changed dramatically . . . Two armies are now fighting. With their profiles and amateurs.

With their ideological (or even fanatics of war) and their workers. With their heroes and wraps. With their martyrologists - tens of thousands of those who died and who need to take revenge . . . Our truth in this war has not gone anywhere. Like a year ago, it is a national-liberation war for the right to determine its destiny. Only it ceases to be folk and existential for us.

It ceases to mobilize the whole society, turning it into a strong fist, ready to break into the bloodstream, break the bones, but send the enemy to the knockout . . . Business as usual returned to Ukraine. The army is fighting. Somewhere there, far - in the east of Ukraine. Corruption is stolen. Politicians think of ratings and lie. Journalists serve politicians. Law enforcement officers cover a business by the MSDA. Everyone survives and earns as they can.

From the country that led a total war against the Horde, from a nation, where everyone was ready to kill and die, we turn into a country of the Armed Forces fans. Just as Russia remains the country of fans for its army. The war is professionalized. Despite the entire quarters of fresh graves on Ukrainian cemeteries, it seems to us that the worst thing is behind. That the result of this war is determined in advance.

That we have already "made the game" and only we have to make a result of a defective victory over the enemy . . . naive . . . After the release of Kherson (that is, in the last six months) we have not released anything, but lost Soledar and Bakhmut. The latest Western weapons, which is currently coming to Ukraine in quantities, which a year ago was even difficult to dream, was powerless against "meat storms" in Marshal Zhukov.

And as it is not unfortunate to admit it, Bakhmut was taken not even by Russian regulators - a barbaric PVC, in which for the slightest guilt are disposed of in place.

Did we grind tens of thousands of orcs in the Bakhmut meat grinder? So! But what about the country that still lives the pathos of victory, for which it could paint the Dnieper in red with the blood of its soldiers, tens of thousands? And how many sons and daughters of Ukraine have we lost under Bakhmut? I am afraid, this war is not won by Western weapons (which is definitely important). If the wars were won only technologies, the United States would never leave Afghanistan or Iraq . . .

Wars won technologies and long will, willingness to pay a big price for achieving the goals. Mobilization of all forces and resources for victory . . . I do not see such mobilization in Ukraine or Russia. And that means that this war is long. No matter how we believe in the "last decisive counter -offensive" . . . The Wehrmacht was the most technological military car of his time. With the most modern weapons and exemplary discipline.

But the long will and willingness to sacrifice millions of human lives for the sake of victory ended with the capture of Berlin instead of Moscow's surrender . . . I do not know if modern Russia is ready to mobilize all its resources and turn into one great "Wagner" to win this war. I think it is unlikely for Putin. But the question of who will come after Putin is open. And God forbid that modern Bolsheviks do not come to power, ready for its ambitions to drive millions to death . . .

However, Ukraine becomes European Israel. Who is used to living a normal life, despite the war. Only, unlike Israel, we will relax early. We have not yet won any war. We have not yet liberated our territories. We have not yet made a decisive defeat of our enemies. We have not yet built an invincible army and the state. And this means that psychological demobilization is a way to nowhere.

It will result in a delay in war, the flowering of corruption, the increase in victims, the destruction of our settlements and fatigue from Ukraine. What will come exactly - not this year, so the next . . . This war will win the one for whom - as for us a year ago - it will become a question of life and death. Whoever moves all their strength, resources and will. For whom it will not be the price that he can pay for victory. In the meantime - unfortunately - we return to the format of late ATO/OOS.
