The President and the First Lady of Ukraine honored the memory of the victims of the terrorist act on September 11, 2001 in the United States

During his working visit to the United States of America, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the first lady Olena Zelenskaya visited the National Memorial in Washington in honor of the dead during a terrorist act on September 11, 2001. The presidential spouses were accompanied by the United States Defense Minister Lloyd Austin and the Chairman of the Joint Committee of US Chiefs of Staff Mark Millie.

The head of state with his wife passed along the order of the warriors of the Honorary Guard and different families of the United States troops, put a wreath to the memorial to the dead during a terrorist act and honored their memory. Volodymyr and Elena Zelensky laid flowers at the monument to the youngest passenger of the aircraft, who died as a result of a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, and her parents.
