The Kremlin tried to kill the leaders of European weapons production - ISW

American intelligence has informed about the Kremlin's plans by the German government, which was able to prevent killing. American intelligence was able to prevent the murder of the General Director of the German weapons for RheinMetall Armina Papperger, who, together with other representatives of the EU defense-industrial complex, planned to be destroyed by Russian authorities. This is stated in the report of the American Institute of War Study (ISW) for July 11, 2024.

"The Russian authorities tried to kill the leading figures of the European Defense and Industrial Complex, probably, within the framework of Russian efforts aimed at undermining and restraining Western assistance to Ukraine and the wider efforts of Russia to destabilize NATO member states," the report reads. Analysts referred to CNN, which reported on July 11 that US intelligence had revealed the Kremlin's plan to kill the CEO of the German manufacturer RheinMetall Armina Papperger.

At the beginning of 2024, US intelligence services informed the German government that was able to prevent conspiracy. "CNN" reported that the murder of Papperger was one of the numerous plans for the murder of the leaders of the European Defense Industry, and the Papperger murder plan was "most mature".

The European authorities reported that Russian entities and puppets conduct sabotage and other operations of hybrid warfare aimed at restraining and disrupting Western assistance to Ukraine, and NATO and its member states have repeatedly warned about the activation of Russian hybrid operations in the territory of the Alliance.
