According to Roman Oleksiv, he will remember this meeting forever. After the Vinnytsia rocket firing, the boy lost his mother and also received burns throughout the body, which has been coping with a year and a half. A 9-year-old boy Roman Oleksiv, who was seriously injured after a rocket strike of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Vinnytsia, met with Pope Roman. This is stated on the boy's page on the social network Facebook.

It is noted that a Ukrainian from Lviv miraculously survived after a blow to Vinnitsa, which was made by Russian invaders. In Rome, he not only met Pontiff, but also received a blessing from him. In the quality of gratitude, Roman gave him a commemorative bracelet. The meeting was held on St. Nicholas Day, which is now celebrated in Ukraine on December 6. "It was an unforgettable and blessed meeting," the message reads.

On the staff published on the network, you can see that Roman Oleksiv came to meet with the Pope with his father, who continues to educate him after his mother's death. The pontiff devoted time to both of them. It is noteworthy that the child gave the Pope Francis bracelet of the National Rehabilitation Center "Unbroken" (Unbroken), then hugged him. On July 14, 2022, Russian invaders hit a rocket in Vinnitsa. At that moment, Roman Oleksa and Mom Galina were in the city.

They arrived there with grandparents. After the rocket stroke, the woman died, but the baby was hospitalized at the Vinnytsia Regional Hospital. She was searched for by her father. The boy was in serious condition, because about 45% of his body was covered by external burns, another 35% were internal. So deep that they even reached the bones in some places.

It should be reminded that on July 14, Russian Caliber missiles hit the center of Vinnytsia, killing dozens of people, but in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, for their part, they stated that the blow was struck on the "Natsiki". The Security Service of Ukraine reported that 300 suspects were detained in Vinnitsa in adjusting the impact on the regional center. The locals managed to beat a man who said that rocket strikes in the city from the Russian Federation would continue.
