"This is a security issue": Zelensky told what would be with the Russians after Crimea
Tamila Tasheva believes that the mass movement of citizens of the Russian Federation to Crimea provoked a demographic crisis in this territory. In addition, more than 100,000 Ukrainians were forced to leave the peninsula after 2014. To solve this problem, a group was organized on the basis of the Presidential Representation of Ukraine, which included employees of state bodies of Ukraine, as well as national and foreign experts.
Within this group, a mechanism for restoring the functioning of public power in Crimea will be developed. In addition, the de -checked territory will need to carry out amnesty, lustration, verification of documents and decisions of the local court, humanitarian policy and demilitarization. Tasheva believes that the liberation of Crimea from the occupation is inevitable. At the same time, she acknowledges that 9 years, which have been held under the Russian flag, may have some consequences.
In this regard, ways of reverse integration should be developed now. With regard to the expulsion of Russians from Crimea, Tashev specifies that it is about Russian citizens who have received a Russian passport outside the peninsula. As for the Crimeans who have come under forced certification, they remain Ukrainian for Ukraine.
"Currently, the issue of the fate of citizens of the Russian Federation, who found themselves in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol is first and foremost a issue of security. And it is one of the guarantees that the aggression of the Russian Federation does not happen in the future," - summed up the human rights activist. Tamila Tasheva also mentioned that such a policy did not contradict international law.
