Since the beginning of the aggressive war, Russia has neglected 22 fundamental international documents - Andriy Yermak

Since the beginning of armed aggression against Ukraine in 2014, Russia has violated more than 400 international treaties, which are Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and neglected 22 fundamental international documents since 2022. This was stated during the International Forum "Diplomacy today: the role of Ukraine in global politics". The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Taras Shevchenko National University of International Relations.

A total of 700 people were present at the forum. Among them are Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tokitsky, Minister of Youth and Sports Matthew Poor, Deputy Head of Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva and Elena Kowalskaya, representatives of diplomatic missions, teachers and students. They discussed topical problems and challenges for diplomacy.

Andriy Yermak stressed that armed Russian aggression against Ukraine is the most serious violation of international law since the Second World War. This has led to food, energy and environmental crises that are noticeable in different countries of the world. Therefore, one of the goals of Ukrainian diplomacy is now the resuscitation of the international law system.

He also noted that thanks to diplomatic efforts, all peoples of Europe and a large part of the world from the first hours of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation have been united around Ukraine.   “We have achieved that the principle of" nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine "becomes a reality thanks to our active diplomatic presence at all key international sites: from the UN and G7 to the EU and NATO summit.

Ukraine participated in the meeting of the League of Arab States, the G20 summit. And this is not only symbolic steps - it is a clear signal that the world is ready to hear Ukraine and act with us, ”said the head of the Presidential Office.

In addition, Andriy Yermak noted that after the beginning of full -scale Russian aggression, the Ukrainian team departed from classic diplomacy methods, began to work informally, on personal contacts, and not only with leaders of states and politicians, but also with celebrities. The head of the office of the Head of State named the formula of peace, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered at the G20 summit in Indonesia in 2022, was an important achievement of Ukraine.

“In these two years we have become stronger on our irreversible way to NATO. Ukraine has already proven its role as a key guarantor of security in Europe. We not only declare, but also implement the standards of the Alliance in our Armed Forces, ”Andrey Yermak summed up.
