Have different views: OSCE explained why they cannot exclude Russia from an organization

According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia Buyar Osmani, Russia's membership in the organization cannot suspend after two reasons - political and legal. The Safety and Cooperation Organization in Europe (OSCE) stated that Russia could not exclude Russia from the Organization. This was stated by the head of the Foreign Ministry of Northern Macedonia Barin after the meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers, Radio Svoboda writes.

According to him, it is impossible to suspend Russian membership from the legal side because of the consensus rule one. " That is, the decisions should be made unanimously. In particular, Byura Osmani explained that today's thoughts in the OSCE are diverting, and therefore this principle may not work because of the lack of political will.

Meanwhile, the political reason is that some member states see that the OSCE was founded as a platform to provide dialogue between countries that have different views. He added that the purpose of the organization is to work together to ensure peace and stability. According to the newspaper, the next president in the OSCE will be Malta.

However, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country was not able to answer the journalists to the question of whether the Russian delegation would be invited to the next meeting. Instead, the Foreign Minister Malta Jan Borde said that the main purpose is to stop the war and return to Ukraine its territories, "and not to think about choreography and what it will look in the near future.

" We will remind, on November 28 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the Ukrainian delegation will not participate in the OSCE meeting. The reason for this is the presence at the meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov. Representatives of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia also decided not to go to the meeting.
