The blows weakened: Russia failed the "energy war" against Ukraine - Britain's intelligence

The British military believes that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will no longer be able to cause significant losses to Ukraine. Russia failed the campaign to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure in the winter of 2022-2023. This conclusion was published on Twitter on April 8 by the press service of the UK Ministry of Defense, citing the data of its intelligence.

According to the department, Russia began to actively attack the objects of the Ukrainian power system in October 2023, but since the beginning of March large -scale blows have become rare. Currently, the Russians continue to fire on infrastructure, but produce less than 25 ammunition, and British intelligence believes that they will be much less affected by electricity supply in Ukraine than it was in the winter.

At the same time, Ukrainian energy companies buy equipment to replace damaged items. It is difficult to deliver and install them, especially high voltage transformers weighing about 100 tons. One way or another, but the energy situation in Ukraine should improve with spring warming. "Planning and preparation for the next winter probably has already begun," the Defense Ministry said. On March 21, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal told how the Cabinet of Ministers will restore Ukraine's power system.

As a result of Russian shelling, many power plants that need to be repaired are damaged, officials are developing a large -scale program and relying on European partners. 28 Mata Volodymyr Kudrytsky, the head of Ukrenergo, told whether the light will be switched off in the spring and summer. According to him, now the power system works quite stable, but Ukrainians need to prepare for the next winter. They also wrote how many funds were pulled out of Ukraine by Russian energy terrorism.
