Turkey officially integrated the Si̇Per Block-1 air defense system into its national arsenal, which indicates progress in the technological self-sufficiency of the country's army. Roketsan, Aselsan and Tübi̇tak Sage, Si̇Per protects against complex air threats - winged missiles and drones. During the tests in 2023, the system demonstrated the ability to intercept targets at a distance of more than 100 kilometers.
Future versions with a range of up to 180 kilometers are already under development. Erdogan also announced the launch of the Steel Dome project and accelerated plans for a long range ballistic missiles - up to 2000 kilometers. In the naval sphere, the Milgem program is distinguished by its corvettes and frigates of domestic development. While five ships are already in operation, seven more frigates are in construction.
Other significant naval projects include a TF-2000 air defense, a submarine built in Hildjuk, and a mugem aircraft carrier, which is aimed at strengthening Turkey's naval presence in the region. These initiatives not only strengthen the military potential, but also demonstrate the progressive experience of the defense industry of Turkey. In 2022, the country reached $ 4. 4 billion in defense exports for $ 6 billion to 2023.
