"Need to find a compromise": a former CIA chief called the conditions of termination of war in Ukraine

According to Michael Pompeo, if a durable compromise in the Russian-Ukrainian war is not reached, there is a threat to the USA tactical nuclear weapons. The former head of the central reconnaissance department (CIA) of the United States Michael Pompeo stated that it is necessary to find a durable and compromise resolution of the situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war, which would be acceptable to Ukrainian and Russia.

Compromise is needed because there is a great threat to the use of tactical nuclear weapons, Pompeo said on The Rubin Report political talk show. According to him, the war in Ukraine carries daily risks for the United States - it is the danger of using tactical nuclear weapons and possible cyber -camps from Russia. Instead, the former CIA leader noted that Ukrainian citizens need to provide a tool in order to defend themselves from the authoritarian regime.

And if Ukraine is ready to defend its sovereignty at the front, he is ready to help them defend themselves from the regime that leads to the murder of civilians. "We need to find a solution that has two features. First, it should be acceptable to the Russian people and the Ukrainian. Secondly, we need to find a solution that would be durable," Pompeo emphasized.

However, to maintain relative stability, the CIA considers, the United States should not use military force, since it can be achieved in other ways, and quickly and effectively. "America has the opportunity to show its power, but not soldiers, pilots or sailors, but to do it quickly and with a significant result," Pompeo added.

In the course of dialogue with the leading Dave Rubin, a former official agreed that such agreements would be difficult to conclude, since Russian President Vladimir Putin on the one hand does not intend to retreat, having nuclear weapons behind his back, on the other hand - does not want to end as Mummar Gaddafi. "It will be difficult for both leaders . . . But they both have to find ways they can move on.

If each of them fights for their power, Ukrainians and Russians look around and say -" See what happened to our countries. " , I think we have to focus not on individuals, but on the system, " - convinced the CIA Export. We will remind, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Verynin in an interview with the Russian edition "Izvesti" on January 29 stated that at the moment the UN involvement in negotiations on the end of the war with Ukraine is impossible.
