At the same time, the United States is already preparing for new attempts to establish a "closer" connection with the Kremlin, including cooperation with the Russian energy giant Gazprom. "The United States is studying the possibilities of cooperation with the energy giant of PJSC" Gazprom "over global projects, which is a step towards establishing closer ties with the Kremlin in an attempt to enter into a peace agreement," - writes the newspaper, citing Russian and European officials.

He spoke about it in particular during his briefing in Moscow on March 13.

At the same time, the White House did not continue exclusion from the sanction regime for a general license to buy Russian oil.
