The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands inspected the homes damaged as a result of Russian shelling of Kharkiv, and honored the memory of children who died because of Russia's aggression

In Kharkiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mark Rutte inspected buildings damaged by Russian shelling. In particular, they visited a multi -storey apartment building on the street. Academician Proskura, 9V, destroyed as a result of a massive Russian shelling on January 23, 2024. Then, as a result of a hostile rocket stroke, five people were killed, 14 were injured. 23 residents of the house managed to save from the rubble.

Due to the rocket attack, the first, second and third entrances were destroyed, gas supply was disconnected in the house, partially central heating and cold water. According to Oleg Synigubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 10 people were killed in Kharkiv on January 23, about 100 residential buildings were damaged. There are 6,000 residents left without a roof over their head. They received temporary housing in hostels and other premises.

The head of state and the head of the Netherlands government also inspected multi -storey buildings on Mironositskaya Street in the city center, which were damaged as a result of Russia's rocket strike in March 2022. The impact damaged the storage and enclosure structures. Volodymyr Zelensky and Mark Rutte also inspected the building of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration on the street. Sumy, which suffered significant destruction as a result of Russian shelling on March 1, 2022.

The six -storey building of the Regional State Administration, built in 1954, was recognized as a monument of urban planning and architecture of local importance and entered in the State Register of Real Estate Monuments of Ukraine. As a result of the joining of the Russian rocket, 80% of the roof, holding structures, including external, internal walls of the structure, slab, were damaged in the building. In December 2022, restorative work began here.

Since the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion in Kharkiv, more than 20,000 objects have been destroyed, including 50% of the city's schools. 520 thousand internally displaced persons live in Kharkiv region. The President of Ukraine and the Netherlands Prime Minister also honored the memory of children who died due to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 87 children have been killed in Kharkiv, 21 small Ukrainian in Kharkiv. Volodymyr Zelensky and Mark Rutte installed lamps and put toys to the monument to young victims of Russian aggression near the Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity.
