65% of Russians support the termination of the war and signing a peace treaty with Ukraine - a survey

Almost two -thirds of Russian men surveyed stated that they did not want to participate in hostilities if they have this opportunity. 65% of Russians are ready to support the decisions of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war with Ukraine and sign a peace treaty. About it writes the edition "Komersant", citing the results of a sociological survey conducted by Russian Field.

The research was conducted by a telephone survey from July 28 to 31, which was attended by 1609 respondents in eight federal districts. The social company notes that some of the respondents were afraid to talk about a full -scale war in Ukraine and refused to answer the questions asked. Thus, 65% of the Russians who participated in the study are ready to support President Vladimir Putin's decision to end the war with Ukraine and sign a peace treaty.

At the same time, 60% of the Russians interviewed positively appreciated the idea of implementing a new offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kyiv. Journalists suggest that such a contradiction, revealed in the course of a study, is associated with the unwillingness of Russian society to think about major political problems within the country.

The opinion that a full -scale war in Ukraine lasted 59% of the survey participants: 41% of those polled said they feel fatigue when they hear news about a full -scale war against Ukraine. 30% of respondents believe that the fighting in the neighboring country will continue for more than a year, and 18% are convinced that the invasion will be completed during the year. In addition, according to Russian Field, 62% of men surveyed said they did not want to participate in the war.

It is worth noting that in early August, another poll was carried out in the Russian Federation. A third of the Russians surveyed during the study stated that the sun was rotating around the Earth. Recall that at the end of May, the Kiev International Institute of Sociology conducted research among Ukrainians in order to find out the attitude of citizens to a full -scale war.

Thus, 82% of respondents said they would not support the abandonment of any territories in exchange for termination of hostilities. It was also reported that in Israel the Russian -speaking newspaper Newsru. co. il conducted a survey among its readers to understand their position on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
