The government initiative to delegate the State Border Guard Service for defense...

New "betrayal" or the right solution: why border guards delegate weapons for 23 billion UAH

The government initiative to delegate the State Border Guard Service for defense purchases worth UAH 23 billion has declared a public debate. The focus found out what was actually on this initiative and what risks. The Cabinet of Ministers Order No.

1191 of November 29 agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Defense for the delegation of the State Border Guard Administration to purchase defense goods for UAH 23 billion for the needs of defense forces with further transfer of goods to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The author of the project "Our Money" Yuri Nikolav calls it the largest "one -off" of the film of the year.

"So, 23 billion hryvnias want to bring to a foreign" gasket "with a 100 % payment in advance for a weapon that no one has seen. Not only if its price is overestimated, there is a risk here just never see this pile of billions again,"-- Nicolov believes. In turn, the State Border Service emphasizes that they are an integral part of Ukraine's defense forces. "We have a second -level certificate of funds allowed by law for weapons purchases.

In addition, our units have long been involved in hostilities, so providing military equipment is our real task," - explained in the department. To close the issue of the validity of such actions, border guards provide statistics. "This year, we have already absorbed over UAH 36 billion for defense purchases, and there was no breakdown. " The SSSU also emphasizes that all proposals are passed through the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

In addition, they only work with proven suppliers and receive the lowest price offers on the market. To the fact that the money seems to be brought to a foreign "gasket", the department explains that the suppliers with which the SPSU works, have NATO certificates and long experience in the arms market. "In recent years, we have concluded dozens of contracts with these companies, and have never had delays or unfulfilled obligations," the border guards explain.

In addition, each provider passes regular audits in EU countries that issue export licenses. "Our units are already equipped with mortars, artillery, RSSV and even modern means of damage we ourselves purchased," the SPSU explained in the question of whether the border guards have the appropriate weapons, the shell to be experts in the types of ammunition. War is not only a front, but also a rear, which should ensure speed and efficiency.
