For the first time in Finland, the Helsinki District Court issued a sentence for war crimes committed during the war in Ukraine. The prosecutor demanded for the trick of life imprisonment for five war crimes. The district court rejected one accusation. The reason was called the bad conditions in Ukrainian prisons and the assessment that Torten will not receive a fair court in Ukraine.

The accusation was considered in the Helsinki District Court because it concerned an international crime, the punishment of which is based on international agreements on the rules of war, which are binding on Finland. Neo -Nazist Yana Petrovsky was accused of killing more than 20 Ukrainian military in the Rusich DSRG in eastern Ukraine. The protector defense has built his line that the investigation has no direct evidence of his fault.

It is noted that Ukrainian defenders were captured because the Russians took advantage of the Ukrainian flag and seized a checkpoint. The group fired from the weapons on the Ukrainian column, and after the ambush, the invaders shot at least four wounded soldiers. Petrovsky, as a commander of the unit, managed his subordinates, and shot the Ukrainian military from a machine gun. In this situation, 21 soldiers died immediately and one later. Four fighters survived.

According to the prosecution, the neo -Nazist also allowed his subordinates to cripple the incapacitated Ukrainian military, cutting out the symbol of the Rusich DSHRG on his face. The occupier is also accused of mocking the body of a dead Ukrainian warrior, against which he posed in a photo that he spread on the network. Prosecutors' evidence of crimes mostly consists of videos taken at the scene.
