In Ukraine, they created a unique drone amphibian "WHO": what will help the military (video)

The drone is planned to install the means of HRB and fire systems. In addition, they will help the soldiers in positions near the reservoirs, where the crossings are destroyed. In Ukraine, a team of inventors from the Volyn region has developed a land robotic complex-amphibian "WHO" and successfully tested it. About it reports Freedom. About half a year ago, engineers planned to create a means of evacuating the wounded military, delivering ammunition and products to the position of defense forces.

In the development process, they decided to change the structure slightly and make the drone swim on the water. In the end, they got a remedy that resembles a boat on wheels. When the drone comes from the shore into the water, it must automatically switch to another engine. It can be controlled both remotely by means of a remote control and a mechanism on board, it is almost like directing a motor boat. "We can implement through FPV, by navigation, anything.

The creators hope that the "WHO" will be able to distinguish and overcome obstacles in their path without operator intervention by means of onboard systems. In addition, he will be able to follow the soldier autonomously. The team aims to reach the length of movement up to 20 km on one battery charge, speed - up to 20 km/h, cargo - 200 kg. Recently, the creators conducted the first tests of the prototype in the Volyn region, which were satisfied.

According to them, the platform proved that it can accomplish all the tasks provided for it, although they plan to make some more improvements. The use of "WHO" is offered first and foremost where the crossings in the reservoirs were destroyed during the fighting. In addition to evacuation and delivery of goods, the platform can be used as a carrier of fire systems and electronic warfare.

The Armed Forces fighter Oleg says that such drones are now needed in many directions, and they will be able to save many lives. They will be able to significantly improve logistics, deliver food, water, ammunition to positions that are difficult to reach the usual ways through water obstacles. "I have not met the analogues of such amphibians," Oleg emphasized. According to engineer Vasyl Tsapyuk, the land complex has already passed a military examination and received an average score.

This means that it was recognized as the necessary forces of defense. It will also allow developers to claim grants by participating in different programs. So far, they do not reveal when they will be able to start mass production of "carts". Earlier they wrote how the Ukrainian land drone knocked the Armed Forces from the position in the Kursk region.
