Robots-to the Armed Forces Service: When the Granet-Grandoma Drones appear on the front

The serviceman Igor Lutsenko calls for the Armed Forces to equip the Armed Forces with automatic grenade launcher as soon as possible. These combat work is no longer a toy, but a real front -line need. Recently, in a telegram, he saw a photo of a Russian robotic self -propelled installation with an automatic grenade launcher. For me, this is an extremely dramatic story. Because almost all of the previous year tried to speak with those who develop automatic turlies and robotic platforms.

I talk about the need for integration with automatic grenade launcher. The idea is that AGS can shoot on its own with remote adjustment. Especially for this would be good foreign grenade launchers, which are different from the Soviet for the better in terms of reliability. Now everything would be appropriate, because robotic land systems are becoming fashionable, and a lot of money is invested in the development of solutions such as a '' machine gun with remote guidance plus a tracked platform ''.

I emphasize that the automatic grenade launcher has low great advantages over the machine gun in this layout. First, he does not need direct visibility to shoot the enemy. It can practically be anywhere in the distance of its defeat, and shoot a canopy, while being invisible to the enemy. Secondly, it does not require any expensive optical guidance systems (without which the machine gun will do). Which are also very sensitive to the environment and all kinds of mechanical damage.

That is, compared to machine gun solution, it is much cheaper and much more lethal weapons. Well, I hope that the fact of the emergence of such platforms in the Russians will push our developers and manufacturers to actively engage in this decision. We have every chance of understanding the power of such a system, to make it a powerful infantry support tool on the front land in the trenches.
