Double blow: the largest refinery in Russia could attack Ukrainian drone of a new type - Forbes

According to journalists, UAVs may have appeared in Ukraine, which dump bombs and return back to the base. Thus, during the service life, the drone could affect more than one refinery or pump station. Ukraine could use its new variety of UAVs in attacks on the Russian oil industry.

On January 29, in the evening or early on the morning of the next day, the drone of the Ukrainian 14th Separate Medical Aircraft struck on the pomp station at the Druzhba Pipeline along the Russian-Belarusian border in the Bryansk region. Forbes writes about it. Friendship Pipeline is one of the largest in the world and is critical in the infrastructure of the most profitable industry of the Russian Federation. The fire that occurred was large enough to register even satellites of NASA fires.

"Judging by the fire, the blow was accurate," the Wartranslated Estonian analyst said. Ukrainians have been attacking Russian oil for two years. But almost all the blows were attached to drones, which are simply flying to the goals. But recent UAVs bombed the Bryansk Republic, according to the popular public "Nikolaevsky Vanek". Ukraine is already using civilian sports aircraft modified for remote control, which can be fastened with large bombs.

But it seems that the drones have simply crashed into their goals, not dropping the bombs. A-22 airplane aircraft loaded with explosives can hardly fly more than 600 km in both ends. But Ukraine strikes Russian oil infrastructure for 1200 km or further from the front line. "Using A-22 in one direction means that they can perform a task at a distance of 1200 km instead of only 650.

There is no need to drop the bomb when there is no expectations that the attacking drone will return to the base," the publication reads. The recent attack on "Friendship" was targeted at the pump station only 40 km from Ukraine, which means that the endurance of unmanned bombers was not a major factor in planning the attack. They could drop their bombs and return to the base, and maybe not.

The operators could also reset the bombs and then direct the drones in the second west to crash into the same purpose they had just bombed - a double blow. If large Ukrainian drones are capable of dropping bombs under the bottom, they can also turn back. It can be multiple weapons: each of which would affect more than one oil refinery or pump station during the service life.
