The Latvian prosecutor's office invited two years of imprisonment for the accuse...

In Latvia, the excellence is judged for the call to sacrifice the money of the Russian Army

The Latvian prosecutor's office invited two years of imprisonment for the accused Igor Kuzmuk. In Latvia, a trial of a former deputy of the Riga Duma from the "Consent" party Igor Kuzmuk continues. According to the indictment, Kuzmuk made a repost of Russian propagandist Vladimir Rogov in his telegram-channel with a call for funds for the needs of the Russian Federation. About it reports Delfi.

The prosecutor's office qualified these actions as "logistical and financial assistance of the aggressor army". The Latvian legislation provides for such offenses in the form of imprisonment for up to ten years. The prosecutor's office invited two years of imprisonment for the accused, given that he had only spread the call. According to the lawyer of Imima Jansone, the defendant did not admit his guilt, and the case against him - political and ethnic discrimination.

It is expected that the sentence of the defendant may be issued at the next court hearing, which will take place on September 12. Kuzmuk's post on Telegram was deleted, but in his social networks there are other publications that, according to Delfi, can be regarded as Kremlin propaganda. On the day of the Army of Russia, on February 23, 2019, Kuzmuk posted a photo on Facebook in a cap with the symbols of the USSR and the signature of "Serving the Union!".

The trial of a former deputy began in December last year. Kuzmuk was not put into custody during the trial and continues to work with a sports coach. He comes to the meeting with the translator, because despite his long political activity, Latvian speaks hard, Rus. tvnet reports. Recall that last month, Latvia blocked three Russian sites for "supporting the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine".
