Barely more than 50%: Ukrainians answered whether they are ready to endure the war as long as long as a survey

At the same time in the fall of 2024 the figure was at the level of 63%, and even earlier - 73%. The results of the survey and the detected trends are reported in the report, on January 2, published on the KIIS portal. During the telephone survey, sociologists asked the citizens about the time of time, during which they are ready to "endure the war". The results obtained in December 2024 showed that barely more than half supported the option "as much as it would be needed" - 57%.

On the infographic published by sociologists, we see that the largest proportion of those who supported this option was 73%in December 2023-February 2024. The results of the fall 2024 showed a fall by 10%, and the results of December - another "minus" 6%. The total annual fall - "minus" 16%. The descriptions of the results of the analytics also noted that the number of Ukrainians who did not decide how much they could tolerate. It is difficult to say: it was 12%, and it became 18%.

According to KIIS, this indicates an increase in uncertainty in the position of citizens. The other two schedules are trends depending on the region and family abundance. The results show that the higher the abundance, the longer the citizens are ready to endure the war. The results in the regions show that the percentage of those who are ready to live in the war in the south and east have increased in the south and east.

In particular, in the East there is an increase from 38% to 51%, and in the south - from 50% to 57%. At the same time, the opposite trends are the center and in the West. It should be emphasized that the KIIS analysts indicated the measurement error depending on the percentage: if the indicators are 50% or more, the deviation is "plus-minus" 4%.

It should be noted that in the last days of 2024 Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon declared the possibility of completion of the Russian-Ukrainian war on December 30. According to him, the likelihood of a peace as a result of mysterious negotiations reached 90-95%.

On the evening of December 30, when it became clear that there was no data on data, the journalist explained that from anonymous sources received information about the possible meeting of the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. After that, the Russians made Demarsh, declaring demands that no one agreed, and because of this the meeting seemed to be canceled.
