Lagging behind for 20 years: the Russian Federation does not even have the concept of fighter 6 generation

The Russian Academy of Sciences says they "reflect" on the concept of the next generation aircraft. It is also noted that it becomes more expensive, more difficult and more technological. There are at least 4 projects for the development of 6 generation fighters in the world, but there are no Russian Federation. However, the next generation combat aircraft may appear in 2050. Academician of RAS Eugene Fedosov wrote about it in the TASS State Agency.

Currently, there is not even a concept of the next generation fighter in Russia, and now wounds above it. There is an exchange of experience with military specialists and conduct search. Fedosov also called the tendency that the more complex the plane becomes, the more he is more difficult. And so the fighter becomes more expensive. "Such an aircraft should appear sometime until 2050, but now you need to understand what the armed conflicts of the future will become," Fedosov says.

Defense Express adds that Russia is lagging behind advanced countries that already have not only concepts but also prototypes of aircraft. In particular, there are projects: experts come to the conclusion that the Russian Federation cannot begin real development, since there is no approved task. Already, the lag from other countries in Russia is at least 10-20 years. The same FCAS fighter should be risen into the sky in 6 years-in 2030, and commissioning in 2040.
