The sixth of the planned IRIS-T air defense systems from Germany will come to Ukraine by the end of this year-Olaf Scholtz during a conversation with Vladimir Zelensky
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz. The Head of State thanked all the heavy military support from the Germany and its leadership in combining partners' efforts to assist Ukraine. The President of Ukraine and the German Chancellor discussed the continuation of defense cooperation. Olaf Scholtz said that the sixth of the planned IRIS-T air defense systems will be released by the end of this year.
They also paid attention to the volume of supply of air defense systems for the next year and the possible additional assistance with German air defense from Germany. During the conversation, the leaders focused on what more efforts were needed for the best defense and political support of Ukraine, as well as coordinated common steps in the near future. In particular, they agreed that the Ramstein format should be stored. The next meeting of the coordination group remains important.
