Russia has closed access to Ukraine's radiation information at Zaporizhzhya NPP

Representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency operating in the station are forced to record or photograph information from sensors and transmit data to the IAEA headquarters. Russian invaders stopped the automatic transmission of data from sensors to Ukraine, which transmitted information on radiation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Oleg Korikov, the acting head of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation, reported on June 14 details at a briefing.

He said that the relevant information stopped coming two weeks ago. Radiation monitoring facilities, which are located on the industrial site of the strategic facility, now have no access. "This is unacceptable," the expert stressed. According to him, the corresponding team was announced from Moscow. Now representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency operating in the station are forced to record or photograph information from sensors and transmit data to the IAEA headquarters.

The head of the state Ukrainian structure noted that later in the headquarters indicators and data are introduced into the appropriate system, to which all the IAEA states, including Ukraine, have access. Russian invaders, according to him, relevant actions continue to destroy the principles of security at the station. All this aggravates the security situation. "This is a violation of the requirements of nuclear and radiation safety," he added.

The Russian side does not intend to compromise in this matter. The situation can only be corrected in the case of demilitarization and de -occupation of the ZPE. We will remind, on June 12 Ukrainians were explained that it would be as a result of an explosion at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
