Putin doubled the prize for conscription as Russian military losses are growing - media

According to the Presidential Decree, recruits will receive a one -time payment of 400,000 rubles (about $ 4,600 or about 188 thousand hryvnias) by the end of the year. Kremlin head Vladimir Putin instructed officials to double the prize for those who are ready to join the Russian army to fight against Ukraine. About it writes Bloomberg. According to journalists, this is a new proof that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is difficult to fulfill plans from recruitment.

It is reported that according to the Presidential Decree, recruits will receive a one -time payment of 400,000 rubles (about $ 4,600 or about 188 thousand hryvnias) by the end of the year. Putin also urged the regional authorities to pay the amount that could be compared with the federal, which was previously set at 195 000 rubles (approximately 91 thousand hryvnias).

The publication writes that the Russian military has suffered enormous casualties since the start of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine. Thus, according to Western estimates, the number of killed and wounded on the Russian side reached 500,000 people. The material states that "accelerated races" for payments among the Russian regions, which aim to convince people to enter the army, intensified the lack of labor in a superheated economy, forcing businesses to raise salaries to compete.

Earlier, NYT journalists wrote that Ukraine is calling for 30,000 people a month into the army. The mobilization impetus has not yet strengthened the forces of defense on the battlefield. Many conscripts still complete the preparation process and have not arrived on the front. The ISW also reported that the Russian Federation came up with a new way of attracting "contractors" without mobilization. The State Duma has already criticized the idea, concerned that it would not have enough money.
