On the paper, T-90m has the latest version of 125-mm stabilization and ballistic computer, complex multilayer combined armor with dynamic protection "Relykt" and expanded optics capabilities. However, in fact, the T-90M has a significant drawback that was not in any other model, even a slight damage to the tower can lead to its uncontrolled rotation. This makes the car absolutely inadvertent. The author believes that this can be explained by numerous losses of T-90m in the course of hostilities.
The most famous example of rotation of the tower is the fight against M2 Bradley. Then the Ukrainian BMP struck the Russian car with steep fire with 25mm Bushmaster II gun. It looked a bold but hopeless step. The "slurry" should protect from 25 mm caliber, but after a few rolling on the tower, it began to rotate in a circle directly on the go. Because of this, the Russian crew had no chance of fire. Such situations have been repeated repeatedly, for example, on May 10, the FPV-a-kidney stroke.
