Allow to sell weapons: countries in the Middle East try to get closer to Russia - the media

Journalists told new details about Russian weapons at the IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi. According to the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Manturov, many were interested in Russian air defense systems. At the IDEX Arms Fair in the United Arab Emirates, which takes place every two years, Russia has set up its weapons for sale, from Kalashnikov to rocket systems, despite sanctions from the event. About it writes Associated Press.

It is reported that Russian weapons, which were for sale at the International Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, emphasizes the desire of the Persian Gulf Federation to get closer to Moscow. However, they do not want to break relations with the West. The material states that daily flights between the Emirates and the Russian Federation provide a rescue circuit for both those who are liable from mobilization and for the Russian elite.

The US Ministry of Finance has expressed concern about the number of Russian funds coming to the Arabian Peninsula. Journalists also noted that at the Arms Fair, Emirates usually accept people who may seem problematic in the West. For example, this year was attended by the Libyan leader Khalifa Hafter, commander of a self -proclaimed Libyan National Army, to whom the United States has made a lawsuit that accuses him of organizing non -harvesting attacks on civilians.

As for Russia's goods at the exhibition, as reporters reported to get to the Russian exhibition pavilion, the visitors of the fair were to leave a huge national exhibition center and cross the suspended bridge to the open site. The journalists were not allowed to be released into the Russian pavilion, but the exhibition was attended by the Minister of Trade and Industry of Russia Denis Manturov. Recall that it is under US and UK sanctions.

Manturov stated that at the exhibition many were interested in Russian air defense systems. "Each agreement is under the close attention of our Western colleagues - they try to create obstacles; we ensure the safety of such agreements that they are as effective as possible and are privately implemented," the Russian minister said. The publication writes that the officials of the UAE did not directly recognize the presence of Manturov.

However, the US State Department stated that potential buyers should be uniform with Ukraine and avoid large purchases of Russian weapons and equipment. Inside the Russian tent, the video screen showed the "power" of Russian SPRs, similar to those that are now used to tasks in cities in Ukraine. Sellers demonstrated Kalashnikov machines. Models of rockets were also inspected.
