800,000 Russians have moved to Crimea since 2014 - the Ukrainian Helsinki Union

According to the Union of Human Rights, the enemy managed to pursue a supposedly successful policy in the captured territories. About 100,000 Ukrainians left the peninsula. Since 2014, when the Crimea has been captured by Russian invaders, at least 800,000 Russian citizens have arrived in the peninsula. This is stated in the material of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union on December 6.

It is noted that over the last 10 years the Russian Federation has created a tremendous amount of crimes against humanity, thereby violating human rights. In addition, many enemy actions are already systemic. "One of these crimes is a change in the demographic composition of the occupied territories of Ukraine. Russia has begun to pursue such a policy immediately after the occupation Russia, and about 100,000 Ukrainians, on the contrary, left the peninsula, " - the message reads.

Separately states that such Russian policy violates Article 49 of the Convention for the Protection of Civilians during the War. It shows that the occupying state is not entitled to move or deport a part of its civilian population into the territory it occupies. The key elements of the actions of the Russians are: identical policy is also recorded in other territories of Ukraine, which is temporarily controlled by the enemy. These are Donbas, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions.
