On February 20, the Defense Ministry made changes to 8 contracts with suppliers, reducing their validity. This allowed them to pick up the inflation component and reduce the cost of services. Under the updated contracts, the cost of daily food will be from 137. 04 to 144. 06 UAH. All these costs are already included in the cost of the service. Annexes to each of the eight contracts are posted on the Ministry of Defense's website.
One of them, for example, looks like this: recall, in January 2023, chicken eggs became a symbol of a corruption scandal, the development of which continues to monitor the focus. The wave of indignation among citizens was caused by the fact that eggs for the needs of the Armed Forces were offered to buy 17 UAH apiece - 2. 4 times higher than topical prices in large supermarket networks.
