Sabers were sent by mail as kitchen items for barbecues. After the examination, it was found that it was a cultural heritage of Ukraine. The Deputy Minister of National Security of the United States, Policy and Planning Robert Silvers in New York transferred to the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytsky 4 Iron Sabers dating from the IX-XIII centuries. The ICSC press service informs about it.

According to Robert Silvers, the artifacts stolen by Russia, which come from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, were found in the International Post Office in Newark, New Jersey. Several customs and border officials saw a package that, as it was claimed, contained a "barbecue set". The employees inspected and sent the package for further check.

American experts turned to the National Museum of History of Ukraine in Kiev, passed photos of the finds there, and it was found that these are "objects of cultural heritage, treasures of the original past of Ukraine".

This operation, as noted, was the result of successful interaction between the Ministry of Culture, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, the National Museum of History of Ukraine and the Institute of Archeology of the NAS of Ukraine. It is reported that 7 more values are currently in the process of identification by Ukrainian experts on the basis of photos provided.
