You can now equip missiles: Engineers have improved US MQ-4C Triton drone

New sensors will allow the MQ-4C Triton to be transformed from a reconnaissance into a percussion, says military expert Chris Osborne. Known US Intelligence Drones MQ-4C Triton have been equipped with sensors and new generation sensors that will allow them to run missiles and controlled bombs. This is written in his article for Warrior Maven, President of the Military Modernization Center Chris Osborne. For many years, the Navy has been clear for many years that Triton is not an armed platform.

But the modernization of the drone with new sensors for intelligence and guidance improves his capabilities during combat operations at long distances, allowing not only to conduct intelligence but also to strike, the expert says. Although Triton already performs important tasks for weapons, innovations are expanding his capabilities when tracking goals, transmitting information and even attacks.

Given the technical achievements in the field of management and control, targeting and intelligence, a drone, similar to Triton, can become very valuable for the US Army, according to the President of the Center for Military Modernization. In view of this, the Navy may well be armed with Helfire, Maverick Rockets, Hydra 70 or even planning bombs once.

The targeting systems will be significantly improved through the integration of new computer technologies and control and control technologies, as algorithms with artificial intelligence support will be able to integrate, organize and analyze data from sensors for faster aiming. Triton technological improvements, apparently, indicate the firm determination of the Navy to add more "newts" in the future and apply the platform for decades, Osborne writes.
