In Kiev, the installation of "Battle for Light" was officially opened on Kontraktova Square: the people of Kiev and guests of the capital can see for the first time lively how the equipment of Ukrainian TPPs looks after Russian attacks. This is stated in the message of DTEK. The installation includes a power transformer destroyed by Russia, which worked on one of DTEK thermal power plants.

It enables Ukrainians to see and evaluate the scale of destruction of Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which have been over 1000 Russian attacks since October 2022. As a result, the enemy destroyed almost 90% of all thermal and 45% of hydrogeneration. "Energy infrastructure of everyone without exception of the region has been affected by shelling.

In the intervals between massive rocket strokes, the enemy almost daily attacks the drones of energy volumes across the country, especially in the frontal regions. Citizens of electricity, " - said First Deputy Minister of Energy Yuri Sheiko. The installation was organized by DTEK and the NGO Port of Culture with the assistance of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and with the support of the KSCA.
