On the screens of Ukraine there was a cool documentary

"We, our pets and war." Why the premiere of Putushkin's movie about seals and lions passed triumphant

On the screens of Ukraine there was a cool documentary "We, our pets and the war" Anton Putushkin about animals that managed to save in the war. The premiere screening of the debut documentary "We, our pets and war" Travel Blogger and TV presenter Anton Ptushkin in the cinema "October" was triumphant. The film tells how many volunteers were rescued by the abandoned owners of animals during the war. The focus is shared by the presentation of the movie.

The ribbon liked so much that Putushkin, creators and heroes of the painting of the hall, standing, staged ovations for a few minutes. Before the show, Anton Ptushkin said: "I was told that it was strange to shoot about animals, not people during the war. The video blogger said that the impetus for the film was well-known photographs of Ukrainians who raced the stations, clutching cats and dogs. The debutant director asked the tape not to judge, because, they say, he is not a documentary.

This is where Anton, of course, flirted. First, he removed dozens of powerful travel reports (Luhansk became famous in 2017-2018 as a host of the TV program "Eagle and Rescue"). And after the beginning of the invasion, he began to shoot on another topic, for example, about the dog of the cartridge - the assistant of the sappers. Secondly, the film is made in co-produced with the Canadian company Yap Films, which specializes in documentaries and series.

Yap Films won the Emmy Award twice and was nominated for it three times. And Canadians are extraclass, and 39-year-old Ptushkin, of course, is not a newcomer in documentary shooting: there are 5. 5 million subscribers in his YouTube channel. Anton has a deceptive appearance of Botan, in fact he has an experienced media businessman, a talented journalist and a wonderful communicator. Immediately say, the movie "We, our pets and war" is made very professionally.

This is not the "Kiev School of Documentary". I had to be documentary at our festivals in our festivals - not everyone will withstand this slow "aquarium" pace of narrative and endless timekeeping: you can only harden character. The authors claim that the final version "We, our pets and war" entered about a quarter of the filmed material, the shooting lasted one and a half years: from the spring of 2022 to the second half of 2023.

I believe, because all these 1 hour 20 minutes look in one breath: rhythm, stories, characters - everything dynamically, clearly and in development. You will not break away. The picture has several storylines. The characters of the movie are both humans and animals. As a preamble, it is said that many animals remained in the castle, when millions of Ukrainians began to emigrate in the first days and weeks of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

Yes, there were citizens who, clutching their pets, fled with them. But there were many those who did not come up with anything better than lock cats and dogs on the key in their homes and apartments, leaving them under someone's care. However, there were also those who began to help from the stone captivity of seals and dogs. For example, the producer of the studio was sold Dmitry Revniuk. He used all his colleagues and relatives in this noble cause, organizing the so -called "zoopatroole".

At first they broke the apartment locks, then began to punch holes in the walls, knock out the cells and put the tubes there so that the animals could drink. To look at Raunyuk is one pleasure: his good face glows when he tells how much he felt joyful emotions, saving our younger brothers. "The response of saved cats and dogs literally wrapped me up," says this wonderful man from the screen for a happy laughter.

It was sad when after the liberation of the occupied Borodyanka, his team found a dead cat in bed. He seemed to sleep. "Breathes? Don't breathe?" Dmitry asked restlessly, and Phushkin's camera looked out of his shoulder anxiously. "But this is literally one such case," said Rovnyuk sadly, "because it was impossible to get to the abandoned animals in Borodyanka because of the temporary occupation.

" And we see many cases in the ribbon when rescuers were able to raise the prisoners - and it was touching and spiritual. A separate chapter is the shining history of the Borodyan cat of Gloria, it is a wardrobe. Its owners left an apartment building in Borodyanka, but because of a massive rocket attack they could not return home. There were direct rocket hit in the house. The entrance collapsed.

And the Persian Cat Gloria-Shafa (the second name was given to her rescuers without knowing the real one) was able to live on two half-cut upper floors for two months. It's a miracle! It was pulled out by the Ms. "We saw the story on TV about the cat's cat, we look and recognize - this wicked look - she does not like when she is so taken in her hands," - tell the owners of Gloria, and the audience in the cinema laughs again: tragic and comic in this movie goes side by side.

The characters of the movie were not only small animals, but also bears and lions. Surprisingly, the fact is that we have dozens of wealthy people in the Donbass, kept bears and even lions. Predators remained closed in cages after the invasion. They were drawn with great difficulty from there - it is not a pussy. Already then, the lions were sent to the zoos of Europe and to the national parks of Africa. "I saved 50 lions," says the fearless Kiev volunteer Natalia Popova.

One of the "kings of animals" from despair damaged his head. But gradually we see how he gets rid of stress and comes to his senses after a multi -month recovery is great. The 79-year-old founder of the Gostomel animal shelter was also remembered by Asya Serpinskaya, which has every chance of becoming a winged one: "It is necessary to save animals to stay people. " The cheerful chapter is dedicated to the legendary Chernihiv PSA-Sad of the patron, which describes his story in detail.

The cartridge is a dog of the head of the Pyrotechnical Group of the SES of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region Mikhail Ilyeva. "The patron of the cartridge weighs 4 kg, and the force of pressing an anti-personnel mine-from 5 kg,"-explains Michael why the breed of Jack-Russely has become popular in the sapper. The history of the military from Zaporozhye - Artemia Dementii - has caused tears for many. A homeless dog somehow came to him. Anton Ptushkin met with this couple that were inseparable.

But in May 2023, the military died at the front in Donetsk region. Later, the volunteers found his dog and handed over to the soldier's family. Soft features and a favorable facial expression give in Artemia a person with a golden heart. In the picture - he is still alive, it was the authors who dedicated his film.

The foreign volunteer is striking in the tape, who collected in the car abandoned pets right near the front line under the artillery canonade - one can only be surprised by the courage and optimism of this German woman. In the end of the review, I want to say: despite the fact that there are many different tragic moments in the tape, the overall impression is positive. She is about hope. The fact that these strong people who save animals from war disaster carry light into the future.
