Through Minsk: Deputy Head of OP Tatarov flew to the Russian Federation after 2014-"Schemes"

According to journalists, Oleg Tatarov made a number of trips to the capital of the aggressor country from 2014 to 2019. He was last in Moscow after the victory of Vladimir Zelensky in the elections. The President's office has not been answered at the request of investigators about the purpose of these visits. Oleg Tatarov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, flew to Moscow after 2014, when Russia occupied Crimea and launched a war in the Donbass.

This is stated in the investigation of journalists of the Project "Schemes" (Radio Liberty), who analyzed the data of air travel and crossing the borders of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. After the termination of the airline between Ukraine and Russia in 2015, Tatarov reached Moscow transit through Minsk. In 2017, he made three visits to the Russian Federation, in 2018 - four, and in 2019 - twice.

The last Tatarov visited Moscow on April 22, 2019, the next day after the victory of Vladimir Zelensky in the presidential election. Journalists point out that in all cases the official did not linger in Russia for more than a day. Journalists note that after the termination of direct airline between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, Tatarov used Belarus as a transit point.

For example, on August 27, 2017, he arrived in the capital of Belarus from where he flew to Moscow on the same day, and the next day returned to Ukraine through Minsk. Such routes were repeated during all his visits. In 2019, Tatarov even flew to Moscow from Doha, the capital of Qatar. It happened on March 12, after which he returned to Ukraine through Minsk.

In addition to visits to the Russian capital, journalists found that Tatarov visited the occupied Crimea in June 2015, crossing the Giancoy checkpoint. In 2013-2016 he also traveled to Belarus several times, one of the trips was made on his own car through the New Huta checkpoint. Scheme journalists sent a request to the President's office asking to explain the purpose of these trips, but did not receive answers at the time of material release.

Oleg Tatarov is the deputy head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, who is responsible for law enforcement. He was appointed state on August 5, 2020, which caused criticism in society, because he was subject to lustration and at the time of Euromaidan was the deputy chief of the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, tried to discredit protest participants and justify the force against the participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
