Intercontinental rocket attacked the Dnieper: an important shock part of the IBR, not its radius, - experts

According to Fabian Hoffman, a researcher at Oslo nuclear project, the Russian rocket did not carry a nuclear charge, but, apparently, was with a useful load with several warheads to defeat individual goals. Ukraine has declared Russian attack on the Dnieper intercontinental ballistic rockets that do not knock down Patriot. But the Western official later told reporters that it was probably a smaller ballistic missile. CNN writes about it.

The main difference between the IBR and other types of ballistic missiles is only in their appropriate range. According to the name, the IBR can overcome thousands of kilometers and cross the continents, while ballistic missiles are smaller and medium range. Fabian Hoffman, a researcher at Oslo's nuclear project, noted that the rocket's range is not important, but an explosive force embedded in the rocket is its "useful load".

The Russian rocket did not carry a nuclear charge, but, apparently, it carried a useful load of the type RGC, that is, several warheads were used to defeat individual goals. The RGC (the main part of the divided blocks) was developed during the Cold War to allow the rocket to deliver several nuclear warheads to various purposes.

Although in this case, the nuclear warhead was apparently replaced by a non -nuclear part, the meaning of using the WGC technology was to send a certain signal, Hoffmann said. "The possibility of RGCs was linked exclusively with rockets capable of carrying nuclear weapons, and none of the usual missile systems in the arsenal of Russia has this technology.

Regardless of the exact range of the missile, the signal, thus, remains focused around nuclear threat," - Expert explained in a comment to journalists. The Air Force of Ukraine stated that in the morning, November 21, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked the Dnieper with an intercontinental ballistic missile (IBR). BBC journalists say that this step looks like a demonstration of Moscow's readiness to increase rates and further escalation.
