According to sources of the publication, the United Kingdom and Sweden will soon announce an intergovernmental agreement, within which the British army will buy from 6 to 8 Swedish SAU Archer produced by BAE Systems Bores. They will temporarily fill in self -propelled artillery installations transferred in Ukraine. It is also possible that for the British contract of art stations can be installed on the chassis of another wheel platform.
For Sweden, a contract was recently concluded with the manufacturer for the supply of additional 24 SAU Archer based on the tractor of RheinMetall Man Militation Vehicles HX-series 8x8 with a secure cabin. We will add that Archer SAU is one of the most technological installations in the world. Its artillery part is fully automated. Weapons caliber is 155 mm with a barrel length of 55 calibers. The charging mechanism allows you to produce 6 shells for 30 seconds for various purposes.
